What Of Record does

You describe a role. Of Record researches public sources and gives you a private report of people who may fit it, with the case for each and a source for every fact, and a private page to review them. It is research to support your hiring. Of Record is not a recruitment or employment agency: it does not place, employ or represent candidates, and it takes no fee from them.

During the pilot, searches are open only to invited addresses and are free. Before any search is charged for, you will be given the price and asked to accept it.

Using it properly

• Use Of Record only to fill a real role at your organisation, or one you are engaged to fill.
• Do not ask it to find or rank people by religion, health, pregnancy, family status or any other ground the law forbids you to hire on, and do not use a report to discriminate.
• Keep reports and private links confidential. Do not publish, sell or pass on what is in them except to the people helping you with this hire.
• If you approach someone named in a report, be courteous, say who you are, and stop if they ask you to. Review any outreach draft before you send it; a proposed meeting time is not a confirmed booking.
• Do not try to get around the limits we set, reach other people’s searches, or use the service to harm anyone.

What a report is, and is not

Reports are prepared with AI from public sources, and every fact links to where it was found. Public sources can be out of date, incomplete or wrong, and a person’s situation may have changed. Check what matters to you, including qualifications, references and the right to work, before you make an offer. The hiring decision is yours.

The examples on this website are demonstrations with invented people, companies and evidence.

Your brief and your report

Your brief stays yours, and you may use your report for your own hiring. We may use what we learn from running searches to improve the service, but we never show one client’s brief or report to another.

Responsibility

We provide Of Record with care, but as it is, and without promising that a search will find the right person or any particular number of people. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on a report, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us for the search in question. Nothing here limits a responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.

Ending, changes and law

You can stop using Of Record at any time and ask us to delete your searches. We may pause or end access if these terms are broken. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when, and a change does not apply to a search already started. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
